Uniform Policy

 

Uniform Policy for Holmes Elementary School

 

 

The following outlines the clothing which meets our uniform criteria:

  • Navy blue shorts, pants, skirts, or jumpers
  • Navy blue, red, or white collared shirts or blouses
  • School shirts are encouraged
  • Closed footwear that covers the entire foot must be worn for safety reasons
  • Oversized, baggy, or saggy clothing is not allowed
  • Sports (team) jerseys are not allowed (except on Special Dress Days)
  • Sweatshirts and/or light weight jackets must be school colors
  • Heavy jackets may not have any logos and should be school colors, but any color will be accepted

 

 

Non-Compliance Policy

  • First time out of uniform: Teacher phones parent to inform of infraction.
  • Second time or more: Student goes to office.  Parent contacted.  Parent brings uniform clothing or student is changed to a “loaner” uniform.

 

*Uniform assistance is available to families who need financial help in obtaining uniforms.
